About Erica
I’m an artist passionate about empowering the casual creative and the professional artist. Through art I’m able to build community and foster authentic connections.
In high school I formalized my art education as the recipient of a scholarship to the Laguna College of Art and Design. Here I spent my summers in an intensive program building my foundations in drawing.
After high school, I was admitted to the USC Roski School of Art and Design. Torn between my love for painting and writing, I was also admitted to USC Annenberg School of Journalism. In the end I decided to attend Annenberg and I graduated with my Bachelor's in Journalism in 2019.
Now, thanks to my unique background in Journalism and professional career in the technology industry, I weave storytelling into my artwork.
As an artist I aim to tell the stories of the animals around us. My work reflects my passion for capturing the essence of animals, celebrating their unique personalities and the joy they bring to our lives.
I have always been drawn to the expressive potential of oil pastels. This medium allows me to blend rich colors and textures, creating dynamic pieces that invite viewers into the heart of each subject. My art aims to foster a connection between people and animals, highlighting the importance of compassion and understanding in our shared world.
Through my work, I hope to convey the magic and vitality of the animals that inspire me.
